What We Emphasise
Characteristics of the Hope of God Churches
We desire to reflect the characteristics of a New Testament church as expressed within
the Scriptures. These are:
1.God-centred
We help our members develop an intimate and meaningful relationship with God, particularly through personal and corporate prayer and worship. We also seek to glorify God in everything we do. (Phil 3:10).
2.Bible-teaching
We believe that the Bible contains all teachings necessary for our faith and conduct as Christians. Thus we emphasise expository preaching and comprehensive teaching in a balanced manner in order that our members may understand, live out and mature in the Christian life as God intended. (2 Tim 3:16, Neh 8:8, Jam 1:22).
3.People-oriented
We make every effort to demonstrate Christ's love and compassion to all believers through the sharing of our lives in fellowship. We also seek to demonstrate God's love to those who do not know Christ, that they may come into a relationship with Him. (2 Cor 8:4).
